Ben Spa: Mending goods, connecting lives

More than just a place that offers meticulous care for belongings, Ben Spa is a shelter that brings cherished moments and hopes for people with special physical conditions.

A “spa” for accessories

"Bền - Spa Đồ Hiệu" is known as a place to restore and repair accessories that hold great sentimental value such as handbags, shoes, wallets, etc. "Đồ hiệu" does not simply mean high-value belongings, but meaningful and memorable property that customers would cherish.

Ben has 6 disabled employees, which account for 50% of the staff members, with different types of disabilities. At Ben, anyone can contribute their time and skills.

Ben was established with three missions encompassed in the three B's “bền vững”, “bền bỉ” and “bao dung”. “Bền vững” represents sustainability and dedication in Ben’s services and employees. “Bền bỉ” is the patience and dedication to the work by employees and managers, and finally “bao dung” is understood as the union, solidarity, and mutual help between employees regardless of their physical condition. 

Furthermore, one of the Ben store's goals is to protect the environment and spread awareness about the danger of non-biodegradable products. Therefore, the packaging material and chemical agents used are environmentally friendly and safe for both customers and employees.

A home for the disabled

In order to create optimal living and working conditions for individuals with disabilities, Ben's furniture and design takes into account their special needs, ensuring that every element of the environment is tailored to cater to them.

Because of their physical conditions, disabled employees may have difficulties in their daily activities. Understanding these inconveniences, the architecture of the Ben building is wheelchair accessible, which removes bumps and stairs whenever possible. The doors are widened, and an elevator is installed so that people can conveniently go up and down floors. 

Moreover, wooden platforms are used as a boost, allowing all employees to work together in the same section.

Memorable moments of Ben family

Despite different physical conditions, all members are friendly and loving towards each other. In Ben’s affectionate environment, each employee has created many beautiful memories while working here.

For Mr. Dong, it was during the first working days, amidst the confusion of the new environment, that he received enthusiastic guidance from his co-workers, giving him more strength to accomplish his work better. Furthermore, when Ben organized a trip to Phu Tho, Ms. Diu, who was once self-conscious about her appearance, felt incredibly joyful while participating in team-building activities and bonding with co-workers like Ms. Quynh, Mr. Dong,... 

As for Ms. Quynh, the most memorable moments were the birthday celebrations of each team member and the times when they provided collective support to one another through the ups and downs of work.

Notably, Ms. Minh has had many “first times” since working at Ben. It marked her first visit to a hair salon, her first time visiting a resort with her father, and her first time experiencing the love that she had never experienced from other companies. In her own words: “There are a lot of wonderful and joyful things in life that I should strive for”.
